growing up

It's recess week alr. That's like super fast yea. I was overwhelmed by the amount of workload when i was on the way home, thinking about the deadlines ahead. Seriously, i regretted spending time not doing productive work for past 3 days. Now it's all piling up on me.

I really can't imagine that very soon, i will be working. Waking up early in the morning and joining in the morning rush and squeezing the train to get back home. I haven't had enough fun. And, i need more time to "enjoy"  studying, to pull up my cap. But all's passing too fast, way too fast. I feel the pressure to grow up fast, to get out of my comfort zone. Whatever seems tough to me in school now probably are just a tiny little part of what i am gonna face at work in future. Am i really up to the challenge yet? Well, even if im not, i have to. Sometimes i just wished i could be more witty, smarter, more outspoken, more confident, multi-lingual, more decisive and whatsoever. I guess we just have to learn to be contented with what we have. That's the problem with humans, isnt it?

Well, I went for my very first formal interview yesterday. Totally caught unprepared as I thought the consultant called me down to help me get a job. So I headed down after lunch with his family, in a super relaxed mood, without much preparations (or none at all in fact), in my formal attire.
until the moment when the person whom I met at the career fair asked me to tell him about myself then i realised i was down for an interview to be a consultant.

Surprisingly, all went well for the 1st three people who interviewed me. I was super tired from being cooped up in a small room, facing 4 walls and uncertainties about how many more people will be interviewing me, when will they be coming in and what questions would they ask. I wasited for almost an hour for the last interviewer. It was seriously a boring and tiring wait. After everything, i was totally drained and my mind was in a mess. I felt so helpless when i knew i totally screwed up halfway through the last round.

Well, i guess this is just a very good learning experience for me. So that i know have a hang of how and what to do during interviews. I hope there will be more interviews for me to ace in and not screw up like my first one.

I need to be happier. To be happier, i need to be smarter. I am not born smart. I need to work 10000 times harder than other people and i know that. Acha fighting! :)
